Novel Effect is voice interactive entertainment that makes storytelling a magical experience. Our platform uses voice recognition to sync special effects, theme music, and character voices in real time with a storyteller’s voice, creating a sensory-immersive experience kids and families love. Novel Effect is on the cutting edge of the Voice First movement and currently available as an iOS app with plans for expansion onto other platforms.

The Role:
Novel Effect seeks a talented digital marketing coordinator to join our growing team of passionate and creative people, in Seattle, WA. This candidate will manage our D2C social, digital and offline efforts to build brand awareness, new customer acquisition, engagement and retention. The ideal candidate loves building a D2C strategy, is capable of developing and implementing social media tactics, utilizes data analytics to test digital campaigns, and is passionate about nurturing a customer along their lifecycle. They will also support our B2B business development efforts.The successful candidate is highly organized, juggles multiple tasks/deadlines effectively, and enjoys being a wearer of many hats.The candidate will interact directly with all levels in the organization including senior management.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Run point for project management for our small but mighty Marketing team

  • Own social media strategy and implementation, email campaigns, and website optimization

  • Provide insights, facilitate data-driven testing and learning, and develop ways to optimize media

  • Own metrics and reporting, to analyze, track and communicate results

  • Assist with responding to online chat inquiries

  • Provide trade show logistic support, including pre-show outreach to attendees as well as organizing display materials, presentations, brochures, and giveaways

  • Create PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings, speaking engagements, and customer meetings

Our Ideal Candidate has:
Intimate knowledge of social media platforms and marketing (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Reddit, YouTube, etc.) and Google Analytics
Expertise in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides
Strong creative, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask
Proven written, verbal, analytical, and communication skills. Great at copywriting and editing.
Excitement about emerging technologies, especially in the voice recognition field
Can excel under tight turn-around and deadlines. Improves with constructive feedback.
Excellent interpersonal skills in a collaborative team environment
Expertise in telling a story that attracts customers. Expert in content creation and building a company into being seen as a thought leader.
Proficiency in Photoshop and InDesign a plus
Ability to work effectively across all levels in a business environment and maintain professional relationships internally and externally
